tI really loved reading this wonderful book! I loved the characters and the plot! I had a hard time putting this wonderful book down! I absolutely loved this retelling of Cinderella! I am really looking forward to reading the next book in this really wonderful series

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I was looking forward to this book for a year, and it kind of fell flat。 It was a little slow until Part II, and Daria was a little hard to connect with。 She and Percy didn't have a ton of chemistry。 The climax was over too quickly, and I feel that Arvin's story was brushed over too much。 I was looking forward to this book for a year, and it kind of fell flat。 It was a little slow until Part II, and Daria was a little hard to connect with。 She and Percy didn't have a ton of chemistry。 The climax was over too quickly, and I feel that Arvin's story was brushed over too much。 。。。more

Not my favorite of Cellier’s。 I like Daria and Percy just fine, and I absolutely love Arvin。 Give me the haughty talking horse in every book ever please and thanks。 I liked the lessons about fear, but I feel like Cellier didn’t have as much time to stretch out the story。 Maybe she’s getting tired of fairy tale retellings and wants to focus mostly on her own fantasy series。 Understandable。 She really did peak with her Beauty and the Beast retelling。 Like that’s really the best thing I’ve read of Not my favorite of Cellier’s。 I like Daria and Percy just fine, and I absolutely love Arvin。 Give me the haughty talking horse in every book ever please and thanks。 I liked the lessons about fear, but I feel like Cellier didn’t have as much time to stretch out the story。 Maybe she’s getting tired of fairy tale retellings and wants to focus mostly on her own fantasy series。 Understandable。 She really did peak with her Beauty and the Beast retelling。 Like that’s really the best thing I’ve read of hers, and I’ve read almost everything she’s written。 。。。more

Wonderful Cinderella RetellingI always love Melanie's retellings, and so I was excited to (finally after a year of waiting) read this retelling of Cinderella。 I couldn't put it done。 Even though Cinderella is such a familiar story, this retelling felt fresh。 Once again, wonderful job, Melanie! Amy Nickerson,
I enjoyed itI liked this book, it was clean and a good read。 It’s not one of my favorites。 I think it wasn’t as good as the other books in the series but it was definitely good。

Mystery Princess RevealedThis story is a great continuation of the Return to the Four Kingdoms series! Daria was separated from the rest delegation to the four kingdoms when it was attacked and hid among a merchant caravan for protection under the name Dee。 Prince Percival had vowed to find her along with the other girls that were missing。 Little did Prince Percy realize he had found Daria because fear has gripped her and ruled her action and life。 Read this story to find out what happens in thi Mystery Princess RevealedThis story is a great continuation of the Return to the Four Kingdoms series! Creative retellingI love the way Melanie tells stories, so it was unsurprising that I found this retelling of such a beloved character captivating。This different take on Cinderella kept the iconic elements of the story while allowing for a wide range of lovable (albeit flawed) characters for reader to root for。 I loved Daria's character development throughout her adventure。 Her overly responsible and selflessly natured self met her match in Percy, and I enjoyed reading about how they brought out Creative retellingI love the way Melanie tells stories, so it was unsurprising that I found this retelling of such a beloved character captivating。This different take on Cinderella kept the iconic elements of the story while allowing for a wide range of lovable (albeit flawed) characters for reader to root for。 I loved Daria's character development throughout her adventure。 Her overly responsible and selflessly natured self met her match in Percy, and I enjoyed reading about how they brought out the best in each other。It was a heartwarming story of personal growth, courage, and what it means to be family。 Filled with intrigue, action, drama, and romance, it makes for a lovely weekend read。 I highly recommend this story! 。。。more
Tamara,
Such a sweet twist on Cinderella! The characters feel so real and you can’t help but sink into their emotions and take the journey with them。 I loved how she made the stepmother and stepsister not evil but flawed like real people! I also really enjoyed another taste of Clarisse’s story。 Definitely worth reading and then re-reading!
Lemon,
Once again, another fun read by Cellier。I have the deepest admiration with how Cellier has managed to tell three (or four?) separate Cinderella stories in the same world。 This one felt different from every other and still retained that Cinderella element with the balls and shoes and family situations。 I'm *very* impressed that the book represented good people that could be toxic, and I think it did a very good job in making the reader feel frustrated at the characters without making us hate them Once again, another fun read by Cellier。I have the deepest admiration with how Cellier has managed to tell three (or four?) separate Cinderella stories in the same world。 This one felt different from every other and still retained that Cinderella element with the balls and shoes and family situations。 I'm *very* impressed that the book represented good people that could be toxic, and I think it did a very good job in making the reader feel frustrated at the characters without making us hate them (though I came close with the "stepsister")。 The pacing for this one felt quick but smooth, the writing was excellent as usual, and the play between flaws and virtues was done well (as usual。)My only complaint is that the narrative voice (first person) is starting to feel the same, which is to be expect, of course。 But it does sometimes make distinguishing personalities hard。 Still, I enjoyed Daria as a heroine and loved the found family tropes in the book。Solid read。Content: Nothing more than kissing and some violence 。。。more
PumpkinPi,
Daria's story is definitely among my favorite of the Cinderella retellings that I've read! The Mystery Princess has all of the humor and heart I've come to expect from Cellier's fairy tale retellings, with a strong underlying theme of fear and love, and what it means to be truly loved。Many characters from both the Four Kingdoms and Beyond the Four Kingdoms series appear or are mentioned throughout Mystery Princess, weaving the continents and their stories more closely together。 I definitely felt Daria's story is definitely among my favorite of the Cinderella retellings that I've read!
